The Rotary network can ensure global reach 

The H.C. Andersen cartoon The Emperor’s New Clothes can been downloaded above. The version for your download has both English and empty cartoon bubbles. When you have completed the download beneath here there are two possibilities. One possibility is that your local Rotary club gets the material translated into the local language and then fill in the bubbles with the local language. The other possibility is that the downloaded material is printed with empty bubbles to train the pupils in translating and hence also train their written language. Despite what solution you choose your local Rotary club can donate the educational material to local schools printed on an office printer or printed at a local print house.

WHY

Poverty is a global problem

In many developing countries a large proportion of the population survive in poverty. Here hunger, lack of education and unemployment is bound to reproduce poverty, hunger and disease.

Education is children's way out of poverty

To break the poverty curve efficiently efforts must start with the next generation. Here the kids may have a more promising future through education. Teaching material are in many places in short supply – This is a trendsetting initiative.

Fairy tales - Not just for pleasure

Knowledge of language in both reading and writing helps to ensure a strong cultural self-understanding. While the English language helps to support children in the long term to succeed in international context.

Reality is far from the fairy tale world. The famous H.C. Andersen's “The Emperor's New Clothes” has been developed as an easily accessible educational material to school children worldwide. This has been done in collaboration between the Copenhagen Post and Bording. Fairy tale is a small sanctuary, a story that takes us away from reality and gives an instructive sanctuary. While the fairy tales, especially of H.C. Anderson, also leaves us a bit wiser about life's nuances.
